Information We Collect
We collect only essential data for bill tracking and reminders.
Bill Data: Amounts, due dates, categories, payees, receipts/images, and notes you enter. Stored locally unless cloud sync is enabled.
Device Info: Device ID, OS version, IP address, and anonymized usage stats (e.g., bill count, reminders triggered) for performance and crashes.
Sync Data (optional): Encrypted bills synced to our secure cloud for multi-device access.
No Sensitive Personal Data: No collection of full payment details, bank logins, emails, or locations by default.
How We Use Your Information
Data enables core features:
Track bills, set reminders, categorize expenses, and generate reports.
Anonymized analytics to improve app speed and stability.
Secure access with biometrics or PIN.
We never sell data or show ads.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
No Selling or Sharing: Your bill data isn’t shared with third parties for marketing.
Service Providers: Use Google Firebase for crash reporting and optional sync (aggregated/anonymized, GDPR-compliant).
Legal Reasons: Disclosure only if required by law, like subpoenas.
Security Measures
End-to-end encryption for synced bills.
Local device storage with app sandboxing and auto-lock.
Secure HTTPS for any transmissions.
We follow best practices, though no app is fully breach-proof.
Your Rights and Choices
Control Data: Edit/delete bills in-app; clear all via settings.
Opt-Out: Turn off sync/analytics; uninstall removes local data.
GDPR/CCPA Rights: Request access, correction, or deletion at support@billwise.app.
Children: App not for under-13s; no COPPA compliance needed.
Data Retention
Local data kept until deleted. Synced data retained during active use; removed within 30 days of deletion request or long inactivity.
